These highly-polished carbon steel phonograph needles should be used once only, then discarded, so as not to wear out your recordings. Choose your preference of tone, and mix or match your order by the 100.

Physically, the thinner the needle, the softer the tone. There is no right or wrong which you select, as it is a preference of volume control as well as record response.
Even with a well rebuilt reproducer which has a mica diaphragm, some of the electrically recorded records from the 30's & 40's may have some harsh tones due to the fact that the mica diaphragm was not intended to respond to electric recordings. (Later reproducers have aluminum diaphragms.) Therefore, we recommend trying the soft tones with these records to make them more pleasant to the ear. Experiment and get a mix. Have the reproducer rebuilt, as rubber parts dry out and parts need adjustments, so no matter what you use, distortions are likely. If the machine has a lid, close it while playing for the best tonal results.

GREEN TURNTABLE FELT - Square piece is large enough for 10" or 12" turntables. Apply spray adhesive to both the felt and cleaned turntable surface. Allow to dry, then turn turntable onto felt; smooth out any wrinkles; trim edge with sharp razor blade; cut X in center spindle and remove with scissor.
