To Use Orange Flake Shellac: Mix 2 parts shellac, by volume, to 1 part denatured or wood alcohol . Allow to set 6 to 24 hours, then thin with alcohol to desired consistancy for the job. The more alcohol, the thinner the coat, the faster the drying time.
*Shellac flakes have an indefinite shelf-life.
*Mix only enough for a 6 month period.
*Do not use immediately after agitation - allow sediments to
settle.
*Powder stains may be added in various amounts, for color.
*Nigrosene: Black powder stain used for bedplates, brackets,
crank handles, wood moldings, etc.
